DOCTORS VS NURSES....My proudest freelance job so far!

Do you see that awesome book cover up there....yeah I did that! I was contacted through the most amazing person ever at Hasni Publishing, Maria Swafford to see if I would be interested in designing and photographing the book Doctors vs Nurses Collaboration vs Chaos as well as the books authors Kamran Hasni, MD and Mary Perkins, RN.  This guys is why I went freelance, art is my soul and seeing it published I don't think I've ever been more proud! So before Halloween we got started on contracts, concepts and creation! Through November we finalized everything and models were put to work on their road to hand model glory! Huge thanks to Brad and Debbie Skidmore for donating their arm wrestling skills as well as Brad's mad scientist homemade blood mix, more on that in a Behind The Scenes blog! Dr. Hasni and Mary Perkins are so passionate about this project that when I done their author headshots it was easy to be caught up in the excitement of this project.  Their hearts are really in this book and want to help people so much that you jump on board for their cause immediately!

It was a challenging and wonderful job to put the actual cover together.  I've always loved graphic design and can remember when I was on the high school newspaper being the only one in class trying to put crazy borders on my Top Ten Song List of the week instead of sticking to the basic newspaper outline.  Luckily I had a teacher who let us soar in the creative process and look where that led....Thanks Cathy!

You can order the book now at Amazon
